It has changed the way that I walk, sit, stand, sleep, move and think. And much more. Getting from one place to another has become an enormous challenged. To find out more visit Let's Talk about Mobility.
I work remotely in a home office and am very thankful that I have a job, a support system, a place to live. Times are hard for us all right now. And when you add in neuropathy or any other health concern, the stress can grow. Become overwhelming. I've felt that anxiety rise at times especially not knowing what's in store for me in the next few weeks, months and years. For example, when I was told I needed a spinal tap I was honestly terrified. But it really wasn't so bad. Read more at Let's Talk about Spinal Tap. To read more about my thoughts on pain visit Let's Talk about Saying "Owww!".
So many things have changed. And definitely not for the better. To read more visit Let's Talk about Changes. I appreciate having someone to talk to, someone who will listen. Especially if you're living with some form of neuropathy -- a debilitating disease. That's why I created the Life with Neuropathy blog. To reach out. To tell you what I'm struggling with, to offer hope, and maybe a little humor. To ask questions. To listen and to learn.
I'll be honest. I need help every day. And sometimes not just a little. I can't do everything I used to. At least not in the way that used to come so naturally, was so easy. Everything now is much harder and can take a lot longer. Nothing is simple anymore. Do you know what I mean?
I'm sure that some of you can relate. What do you do when you need help? How do you ask for what you need? What were some of the biggest changes you have faced? How quickly have symptoms changed or worsened? My progression has, unfortunately been very swift and every day there seems to be a new or changing source of pain. What do you do to help nurture your spouse, friends, and caregivers? Every day, sometimes moment by moment, I realize how much I need and appreciate my wife who cares for me in so many ways.
I have a lot of questions and much to learn. Would love to hear from you. Let me know how you're doing. Let's talk.
Thanks for listening.
John
